Multiplying Disciples
by Sermon Recap on September 9th, 2025
In Matt 4:19 message, we're invited to explore the framework for following Christ. The key spiritual lesson revolves around the three-fold nature of discipleship: being upwardly fixed on following Jesus, inwardly conformed to His likeness, and outwardly made known through visible, obedient action. This framework challenges us to examine whose face truly has the spotlight in our lives - our own or Jesus Christ's? We're encouraged to see evangelism and discipleship not as mere tasks, but as natural outflows of holding fast to Christ and leading others to the One we're following. This perspective shift can transform how we approach our daily lives, seeing every moment as an opportunity to make the invisible kingdom visible through faithful Christian living and witness-bearing. Why Would I Want to be Saved?
by Cara Erickson on July 10th, 2025
This blog post explores the sobering yet hope-filled reality that the Bible teaches about eternity. It outlines the two possible outcomes after this life: eternity in Hell or eternity in Heaven. Hell is depicted in Scripture as a place of unending torment, where God’s holy wrath is fully poured out and residents experience both physical and mental anguish forever, knowing they rejected Christ as Lord. In contrast, Heaven is described as a place of unimaginable beauty and joy, where God dwells intimately with His people, wiping away all pain, mourning, and death, and making all things new. Ultimately, the post emphasizes that salvation is not merely about avoiding Hell or gaining Heaven, but about receiving God Himself – being welcomed into His presence to know, worship, and enjoy Him forever. Rather than demanding anything, true grace—God’s undeserved, unmerited, and unobligated favor—transforms those who receive it. Through a biblical lens, the post explains that grace meets us in our spiritual death, makes us alive in Christ, and empowers us to live differently, not out of obligation but as a joyful response. Obedience, love, and service are not expectations placed on us to earn grace, but the fruit produced by grace within us. The right question is not why grace expects something, but how grace so deeply changes us that we long to obey and serve in return. Read More
